What do you need to create a Luxury Glamping resort?

NOT JUST A MATTER OF TENTS, BUT NOT POSSIBLE WITHOUT LUXURY GLAMPING TENTS
When you are planning to grow a garden you can just spread some plants here and there without thinking about where to get water enough for keeping them alive, or without drawing the paths through which it will be possible to take a turn around it.

And if you plan to have visitors to the garden who can spend there the whole day, then you should plan a parking space for them and offer them the opportunity to drink a refreshment or having a lunch and even prepare for them some activities, in order they have a nice stay.
Same happens if you plan to run a luxury glampsite. You should remember to prepare all it is needed around the tents in order to offer your guests an unforgottable luxury stay including a level of service according to what you want to offer them.

A herd of zebras finally discovers where to drink water

Mobile safaris: a zebra's point of view of

It is not always easy being a zebra, you have to travel long distances, sometimes during dry season you are not able to find any nourishment after many kilometers walking but this is not enough. It is also necessary to have some water and when the rivers and lakes dry you have to use your hoofs to scrabble the hard soil in order to find it.

You shouldn’t be never alone though sometimes I’d prefer to, but keeping in large groups helps us to protect from predators, some friends of mine have gone to feed a herd of lions that was following us for three days, but if you are lucky enough not to fall into the jaws of one of them, then you can get the deserved prize.

Fortunately, this afternoon we found a pond where to drink some fresh water after an exhausting walking week, the herb on the savanna was mostly dry and it was not easy to find some fresh leaves, so we have had to settle for the bark of some acacia trees and, believe me, this is very hard to digest, so finally you need some water to deal with.

A group of tourists has been folowing us and other animals for the past three days on what they call “mobile safari”, a kind of tour in which they move fore several kilometers deep in the savanna and then, instead of coming back to the base camp, the staff goes before them in order to prepare a mobile safari camp and to have everything ready for dinner and night sleep. It seems they appreciate it a lot, every year we can see more and more tourist groups in mobile safari tours, must be something fun for them!

Kenya’s Masai Mara, maybe a paradise for tourists, but sometimes is not so easy place to live in for us the zebras, but I am happy to be again one of the survivals and I expect to be one of us for a very long life!

How about combining golf and glamping?

Enjoying a glamping wedding at a golf resort is something I recommend

Yesterday I was fortunate to be invited to a memorable wedding that was held at a nice golf course by the sea with a spectacular view to the mountains.

The originality of this wedding was given by the fact thar the ceremony and the wedding party were held inside a capacious glamping tent placed on the training court what I consider a very smart idea. By using the training area the golfcourse was preserverd from any damage, while the guests to the wedding could enjoy a nice time  in that wonderful surroundings, something very different from the more traditional and common experience of participating in a weeding held inside the golf club building,

The wedding celebrated inside the glamping tents is something completely different because of the feeling of closeness to nature while celebrating the wedding.

Thinking on the nice time we had there I realized the new possibilities that open for a golf court by taking advantage of the natural spaces availables in order to use them for celebrations like weddings or other kind of events, thanks to the use of big glamping tents that create a special environment, is all what you need to enjoy a relaxing experience and to recharge the batteries at the same time you create some new memories for your family book.

I will recommend to my family and friends holding their forthcoming celebrations in a site like this and to the organizers to select the right tents that incorporate suitable thermal isolation for the improve guests’ comfort.

Canadian Rockies seen through the painter’s eyes

A Tent in the Rockies

The Rocky Mountains of Canada, Canadian Rockies, or just The Rockies, are defined in the vacation guide produced by some locals and the national parks in Canada’s Rocky Mountains website as “a vast land – filled with inspiring scenery, wildlife, a multitude of recreational activities for all ages and a lot of unique opportunities that only the people who live in this area know about”.

A tent in the Rockies, CAanda

This remote area for many of us could have remain undiscovered if John Singer Sargent (1856 – 1925) hadn’t painted his famous watercolor A Tent in the Rockies.

John Singer Sargent visit Ctents

The traces of pencil can be discovered in the folds of the tent’s opening as Sargent used to lay out his overall compositions in many of his watercolors with careful pencil drawings.

The strong influence of his friend Claude Monet, the famous Impressionist French painter,  can be easily noticed in his brush in mixing colors and fresh beauty of a naturalism, lively mark-making, and a sense of immediacy of this nice painting. Sargent loved working “en plein air”, out of doors, as his friend and many others Impressionists did, trying to capture the fleeting moments of light and colors of nature.

Ctens, Monet painting outdoors

Although born in Florence, CA, US, to wealthy American parents, he studied painting in France, where he enjoyed both critical acclaim and important patronage. He is considered the "leading portrait painter of his generation". He created roguhly 3,000 works mainly watercolors but also oil paintings.

He can be considered also as a precursor of modern tourism in the wild movement and modern glamping tourism trend.

Happily not a forest fire but a scenical sunset

We can enjoy nature without harming it
One of the things I used to fear most while going out camping in the
wild was that a forest fire might occur. This is the reason because I
was always very aware and also enourage others to be. If I ever made
a camp fire I always did it in authorized places and I made sure that
the fire was completly extinguished before leaving the site even
pouring water over it till it was completely over and, of course,
leaving the place clean specially of any cristal bottle that could
easily set a fire when the sunbeams pass through it in a hot day
and a dry ambience.
Unfortunately I
have witnessed
several forest fires
along my life and
have seen how the
power of the
flames is really incredible and how a small fire can become a big
forest fire, while people have to be evcuated from a hospital or from
their homes without knowing if they are going to be able to return back or
if they will find only asses where their homes had been before. The
worst is the dark scenery after the fire has happened, the dead nature and
burnt trees, all that willdness that had been there for years or centuries
before, of course the fauna will take many years to return to live there
again in the best case or will never return.

Now it is not so easy to set a camp fire as it was twenty or thirty years before
and I understand that, because it is necessary that each one of us preserve
the nature in order to future generations can also enjoy it and the natural
balance is preserved.
I do not set camp fires any more, but I don’t mind. Now I go glamping
instead of going free camping. I have eliminated my own risk of starting
a forest fire. It is not only safer but more comfortable and it allows me
also to enjoy nature and discover remote places where I can enjoy
magnificient sunsets in the wild, lilke this one, being unconcerned
because I know this time is not a forest fire but a view offered by the
sun and the clouds at the end of a glamping day.

7 key factors which define a luxury glamping tent

What a customer expects when buying a tent

My partner Emilio and me were a day in the office, more than 8 years ago, seated at a table with a blank paper on it and then started to think how our new tent should be.

We decided that the time had come for making a complete redesign of the ancient fashion tent concept.

7 key factors which define a luxury glamping tent
First of all we tried to think as a normal user should do, what would be interesting and what not, what the tents in the market up to date didn’t have and why not. After a few months of a lot of reflexion, discussions, drafts and test pieces, we concluded that a user would expect from a tent same few and simple things, simple as a concept but, as we realized during next eigth years, what was not simple at all was to make them happend.

We conclude the user’s whising list would be something like is:

1) Easines of use: (easy transport and easy and quick assembly, easy opening to enter in and easy closing from inside or outside and minimum work to do, if any, for maintenance during either use or storage.

Ctents structure robust and flexible2) Comfortable: wide interior, luminous, views to the oudside, space enough to move around and for an adult to stand fully upright in most of its surface, no leakages under rain or after it.

3) Durable & robust: top quality materials for structure and fabrics, in order to reach a maximized lifespan; strong under adverse weather conditions, shape kept after a wind stroke, a hail storm or a snowfall.

4) Thermal isolation: reduced temperature in summer, warmer in winter, easy to heat, easy to cool, integrated systems in order to reduce visual impact.

Tent thermal isolation
5) Clean & safe: avoiding the mud, water, dust or sand to enter inside, easy to clean, free of insects or bugs, fresh air inside, no obstacles either inside (no poles in the middle of the cabin area) or around (no guy-lines to keep the tent shape or the fabrics tight).

6) Versatile: for semi/permanent or mobile use, adequate for any kind of terrain or soil, wide variety of sizes and accesories, easy to personalize.

Versatile design of tents

7) Design: not feeling like the last row soldier inside his tent and being pride of its nice design in order to make nice pics and show off them on facebook, instagram or other social networks, a design that differentiates from any other in the market.

Modern and cool tent design

The truth is that while working in our tent project, that we called Ctents, we discovered that the high quality of the materials, the tons of hours of desing, the exquisite handcraft and very specilized team requiered made our tent not a simple one but a luxury tent, so we decided to focus in luxury glamping tent market where Ctents can be easily amortized, even so, we are ready to supply our tents for other uses where their extraordinary quality/price relationship is appreciated by the clients.

Along the incoming weeks I will discover some of the solutions we adopted in order to meet each of these client’s requirements.

Going glamping may bring you close to nature, and to wild boars!

One more reason why I consider glamping

a relaxing activity

Ctents Glamping, wild boar family

Yesterday I had the opportunity to observe very closely a family of wild boars. It was quite
funny to see the squeakers trying to suck from their mother while she kept walking and the
squeakers kept going after her as in a hunting chase where the wolves were the squeakers
instead and the hunting piece their mum, not trying to eat at her this time but just her tasty milk.

I had a really good time in the company of my wife, her daughter and son in law and our two
grandchildren that for sure were who most enjoyed the scene.

Ctents Glamping, squeakers sucking

It is incredible how you can stay looking at them for so a long time, we could have spent
hours there if the children wouldn’t get hungry. Probably the view of the squeakers finally
reaching her tired mum who chose to lie down in order to allow her small herd to reach their
prize, also made them hungry and we had to go back to our glamping tent where we all could
rest and have our deserved dinner after our relaxing visual hunting day of wild videos
and photos.
