How is glamping business performing?

Glamping business a solid growth

Glamping is a growing industry that has been increasing its volume even during the crisis years.
Is this increase measurable?

In England, for instance, glamping bookings rose a 50 per cent, as reported by the Cool Camping website, over the first quater’18, following the rise in the number of overnight trips that doubled between 2015 and 2016, from 160,000 to 325,000 trips.

As Finantial Express has written  “Travellers want to be a part of immersive experiences without compromising on the luxuries and glamping is an ideal blend of luxurious accommodation and in-destination experiences.”

The glamping expert  Sarah Riley, the developer of ‘The Ultimate Glamping Business Guide’ and the ‘Marketing Masterclass For Unique Accommodation and Glamping Businesses’ says that “this is just the beginning and we haven’t reached the tipping point yet”.  And also, quoting the General Manager of glamping.com, she explains that “the market is being underserved in this market, especially in the U.S. and they also confirmed that the market itself was growing rapidly”.

As Rocío Arenado Operations Manager of Glamping Hub “The most demanded market is the North American one”, “United Kingdom and Australia are begining to blunt and in Spain is growing step by step”, but still so they have grown a 100% from last year”.

The recent study published early this summer by Aritzon Camping Tent Market in Europe - Industry Outlook and Forecast 2018-2023  shows that “The camping tent market in Europe is anticipated to generate revenues of around $1 billion by 2023, growing at a CAGR of approximately 6% during 2018-2023”.

For the time being, we have been able to collect some experts opinions and a few figures, but no solid statistics on the glamping business real trend. We will have to wait a bit for having real data, but for now we can say that, Glamping is booming!
