Best Camping Festival Tents

How to select the best tent for having a fun tent music festival?

When you go to a music festival, you want to enjoy the music and have fun but you do not want any thing that can disturb these both objectives.

One of the main needs for a music fan during a camping festival is a tent where to store his or her stuff and enjoy a short rest to recharge the batteries, in order to be ready to start again shortly.

Here are six tips you should consider when selecting a tent to attend your favorite music festival. These tips are also useful for festivals promoters who want to offer temporary housing to the attendees:

1) Get wet only when you want to (not inside the tent because of the rain).

2) Reserve the time to jump around for when you are enjoying the music, not when you are trying to enter your tent or to move around it.

3) Humble yourself only when you decide to do it, either because you want to show a high respect to someone or because of your spiritual beliefs (not because you are entering the tent or you are trying to put on your trousers inside it).

4) Allow inside your tent only the visitors who have been invited by you (not undesired insects or reptiles).

6) Enjoy fresh breathable air not only outside the tent but also inside.

7) Save time to set up or down your tent.

But what are the features that a tent should have in order to let you enjoying the festival without these kind of unforeseen inconveniences?

1) Be sure your tent has a separate flysheet that cannot touch the inner body of the tent, in order to avoid undesired leaks. Also be sure there are not uncovered holes through which the water can enter inside the tent.

2) Look for a tent that does not uses guy-ropes so it lets free all the space around the tent and you do not need to jump over them.

3) Be sure your tent is tall enough to enter the tent walking into and to move freely inside without any obstacle or to stand up inside.

4) Be sure your tent is well isolated from the outside in order to avoid unexpected little visitors disturb your rest, and the holes - windows or ventilation hollows - are covered with mosquito net.

5) Check out the robustness of your tent under inclement weather conditions.

6) Only a tent well ventilated can mantain a fresh air inside, nothing as annoying as the smell to closed space  in many of the tents in the market.

7) Search for a tent easy to assemble, something useful for an individual but essential for festivals organizers in order to save time and human resources.

If you are confident about these requirements are being complied by your tent, then you are ready to fully enjoy the music festival you are attending to!!!

THE TWILIGHT OF TRAILER TENTS

What  I want a trailer tent for?

Resultado de imagen de trailer tentIf I am thinking in buying a trailer tent, there must be some reasons for that.

1) First of all I want to have a quite large space to use as a temporary home when I am travelling with my car, van, or camper (whatever that is what I have).

2) Having a totally portable home, occupying a reduced space.

3) Being able to transport it easily thanks to its low weight.

4) Being able to assemble it in a short period of time, in order to enjoy it as soon as possible.

5) Being able to package it easily, so I can have it ready for next use.

6) Finally, having all that, at a reasonable price.

If we agree these are valid reasons to buy a trailer tent, then what we should do is to examine each one of them in order to check a trailer tent is the right answer to these challenges.

Let's check then all these reasons one by one:

1) If I am looking for space, then maybe it could be better to think of a tent, one which can offer me space enough; there are a few choices in the market.

2) A trailer tent do not seem the best answer to this need, because, even being it portable and can be placed at chosen site, I have to carry a towing all along my travel. It is not so comfortable to drive with a towing joined to my vehicle, particularly when trying to find a parking place, while driving on a winding road, going up or down mountains or near the sea shore, and is an added cost if I am taking the ferry, for instance. In addition, I need a place to park it at home. And a special driving license!

3) Most of tent trailes weight more around 500 kg or more, this is not really low weight, I have the extra cost of fuel to be able to move the trailer on the road, and it is not so easy to move when I am trying to place it on the site I have chosen and already have separated it from my vehicle. I can asure you I can find many tents much more lighter than a trailer tent.

4) Not all the tents are easy to assembly and many of them cannot be assembled in few minutes, that could be an advantage for a trailer tent, but, what if I can find a tent much more easier to assembly than a trailer tent, that allows me to enjoy 18 sqm in only 15 minutes, without tools?

5) One advantage of a trailer tent is that usually is easy to pack and as every pieces has its own place, it can be put on its place without loosing any piece. But, some tents are also very easy to pack.

6) Tailer tents are not specially cheap, also I should add the collateral costs: adequate driving license for towing, extra fuel cost, extra parking costs, space needed at home to store it, hmmmm.

If I consider the advantages and disadvantages of a trailer tent, I quickly become conscious that a good tent that satisfy all my needs is, for sure, a much more better solution. But, there is any?

Fortunately, the answer is YES, Ctents is a tent that can be easiliy assembled, it weights less than 100 kilos, can be easily packaged and carried in any kind of vehicle (without towing!) and best of all, its price is really competitive!

So, for me the election its clear, Ctents has made of the trailer tents an invention of the past.

What is a luxury tent?

Luxury tents are more what they have not than what really they have.

What do we expect when we think about a luxury tent?

Ctents, luxury tent plenty of free space inside
First of all, surely we can agree that we want free space without any obstacle to move freely inside, without any concern... more luxury implies less tent existing where we want to have space enough, i.e., we expect not to find any piece or any element of the tent where we want to find free space.

We do not refer only to obstacles like poles or guy-ropes but also the tent fabric itself all we like to stand freely without touching with our head the inner ceiling of the tent. Not only in the middle of the tent, but also at the outermost sides of the tent. We like to walk comfortably not to bow more and more as we approach to the tent sides... once again the luxury is not to find the inner fabric of the tent touching our head or obliging us to bow in order to avoid that uncomfortable touch.
Ctents. No obstacles around, no guy-ropes

The same happens for the outer space of the tent. When we think about free space we want to have a free space without any obstacle. Nothing to disturb our free walk around the tent... again more luxury means less tent elements in our path.

What about the light?

Ctents lusury tents plenty of luminosity inside
For me, this is the second luxurious feature. We want to be able to see easily inside the tent. Many of them are as dark as a coal mine and it is not possible to see anything inside without a lamp even at the middle of the most sunny day. To have luminosity inside, again, the tent need not to be. Not to have thick fabrics that don't allow light inside. Best tent is the one that disturb less the daylight coming inside at the same time that avoids sun blinding.

And then, have you thought about odor?

Of course!, if I am inside a luxury tent I want not any annoying smell, I really want this another "not have" in my tent. But unfortunately the majority of the tents are very badly ventilated so they keep inside the body odor of the users mixed with the reheated synthetic fabrics odor or with the wet fabrics odor. Something that for sure is going to disturb our stay in that tent.

This is for me the third important feature of the luxury.

I could continue with a lot of characteristic aspects of a luxury tent, but I will finish with a fourth feature. The thermal isolation, something very rare to find in a tent. Again something we expect a tent not to have, we do consider a luxury tent that one that has not a good thermal transmission because that means the heat outside is coming inside as hot as it is and the same happens for the cold.

To summarize, what we expect for a luxury tent not to have:

- obstacles inside, in front of our path or above us neither obstacles outside
- obstacles for the outer daylight coming in
- odors
- good thermal transmission

If we say that in positive we expect for a luxury tent to be:

- spacious inside and able to be standing up without the need of guy ropes
- fabrics that allow the daylight inside
- well ventilated
- thermally isolated

and we expect all that features to be found together!!

Still time for Glamping?

Are the glamping tents comfortable enough for users?

No vacations past summer, too much work, short money.

Finally I decided to have a rest, what to do? Glamping!

I think this is a really enjoyable way for spending few days away. First, to fit the standard, then, to find the place.

Fitting the standard

Not so easy, maybe I fixed a very high standard, but I wnted to have room enough inside the tent for being able of keeping my erect position, being able to stand up and move freely inside the tent, not so easy.

Then I reject any place where I couldn't walk around my tent without obstacles, really difficult! Why so many tents still use old fashion guy ropes? Haven't we learned anything new since Roman era?

But those two seemed to me very easy requisites after trying to find a place where tents were at list a bit thermally isolated, very hard task!!, so difficult to find any! The point should be to have two separeted layers which can keep an air chamber in between capable of reducing the thermal transmission.

Is all that to much to ask for?
